The Digital Schools of Distinction programme is an accreditation, which primary schools can attain by demonstrating excellence in their approach to the integration of ICT in learning and teaching. We will receive our plaque shortly!
In our validation report our validator mentioned how the teachers focus on helping children to become independent learners, creating opportunities for students to collaborate, developing problem-solving skills, effective communication, project management and presentation skills. The school recognises the motivational value of digital technology and also the value of assistive technology in the area of special needs.
ICT is used to support the key principles of the curriculum across a broad range of subjects, ICT is used in an age appropriate manner throughout the classes. Targets and goals are drawn up regularly to ensure there is a spiral of development to define progress from class to class.
