We held our first fundraiser of the year on Friday and raised an incredible total of 1780.25euro at our Bake Sale for the charity Hand – in – Hand.
A huge thank you to all who contributed so generously and a special thanks to the Student Council and Prefects who were so hard working and enthusiastic.
A word from the director of Hand in Hand: Thank you to the whole school community of Knocknacarra National School who gave so generously on Friday at the school Bake Sale. Your contribution is greatly appreciated and supports the work we do in providing practical and emotional support to families affected by childhood cancer. We are overwhelmed by the amount you raised and are incredibly grateful.
Senior Infants and First class have started Gaelic football training on Fridays. Our expert coaches will be training us for the next 6 weeks. We practiced throwing and catching, handpassing, soloing and kicking.
Congratulations to Mia Rose and Liam who won medals today at the Cross Country in Renmore. Team results to follow soon. We are so proud of our fantastic athletes!
We read the story Handa’s Surprise and we set up a fruit and vegetable shop in our role play corner. We made prints using chopped fruit and vegetables.
