WELCOME TO KNOCKNACARRA NATIONAL SCHOOL
CAIFÉ SPRAOI: Tá an t-ádh leis an scoil a bheith páirteach i PSI i mbliana agus is í an Ghaeilge ceann de na spriocanna a phioc muid mar fhoireann. Ba bhreá linn níos mó Gaeilge a chloisteál timpeall na scoile go neamhfhoirmiúil, i rith am ranga, sa chlós agus sna pasáistí. Tá caifé spraoi eagraithe ag an gcoiste do pháistí agus tuismitheoirí Rang a 5 ar an t-ochtú lá de mhí Feabhra, tá súil againn go mbeidh sparoi, craic agus cúpla focal Gaeilge le cloisteál.
AFTER-SCHOOL SERVICE AT KNS: Creative Kids After School has commenced their after-school care programme for Junior and Senior Infants. A full Afterschool Service will begin after Easter 2019. Contact Creativekids.firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. Click here for a registration form.
We extend a warm welcome to you and your child to Knocknacarra NS. It is our aim that your child will be extremely happy in our school and will achieve his/her full potential by being happy, sociable and respectful in our school’s pleasant and stimulating learning environment. There is a strong sense of community and a high level of co-operation between staff, pupils, parents and visitors.
New Primary Language Curriculum: The Department of Education and Skills published a leaflet for parents on the New Primary Language Curriculum for English and Irish (Junior Infants to Second Class). It explains the curriculum changes and offers advice to parents on supporting their children’s language development at home.
Help My Kid Learn: I would like to highlight another excellent web site, Help My Kid Learn, which brings together relevant information for parents and the wider community to support children’s literacy and numeracy development.
